I am a Drum Circle Facilitator who really enjoys helping people who feel they can't play hand drums, to find their inner rhythms and have them share it with the group. Creating Unity in the Community with Drum Circles ™ is what I do.
I have been playing since the beginning of time or at least when I could start telling time, which was about 6 years old.
Anyday is a good day to drum
Yes I think everyone should join those other Drum Circle websites, especially if they are willing to travel outside of Richmond VA to enjoy other special worthwhile Drum Circle events. Some of these events are for charity and good causes like drumming with the physically handicap and the intellectually challenge or Drummming for the cure for cancer/peace.
I love making new friends in a new community, by sharing your inner Rhythm Spirit with everyone. Knowing that you are making a difference in someone’s life by playing the drum and just being there. Creating music in the moment with everyone else and being transported to someplace else while drumming in one place. When you play by yourself that is enjoyable, but when you play with others that feels like heaven. Because what you felt before from one drum is multiplied by many drummers. Drumming in a drum circle is connecting to everything and everyone around you, in a way that words cannot do. That’s why you don’t even have to speak the same language because music is the universal language of life.
I think it is important for everyone to pay their fair share of the things they use and enjoy in life. I think it is only fair to support this website that cost the organizer over $240 a year and pays for it out of his pocket. Everyone benefits from the website, so why shouldn't we pitch in to cover the cost of using it. Where else are you going to find all the Drum Circles you can go to in VA.? Even if you go to just one Drum Circle, it is worth the small yearly fee. This website tries to find all types of Hand Drumming events, not just in VA but wherever they are in the US, and shares them with all the members. It gives the members the chance to join in on volunteer events for the elderly, physically disabled and mentally challenged. After you have been to one these events, you feel like a million dollars, because you used your talents as a gift to those who needed it the most. And at the same time, you will always have a great time doing so.

tArthur,
What a lovely greeting, sounds like such a connecting experience: drumming on the ocean with like-minded people , how much more beautiful can this be? I cannot wait! I'm not much of a mountain person, but the ocean is where my spirit soars free. Can't wait to drum with you and your group.
